Watford Junction 13th May.

Here you will find my photos of my trip to Watford Junction to see the 56 drag from Old Oak which would of had 10 locos in one consist, unfortunately this was roughly 4 hours late so gave up. Here is what we got whilst we waited.

350129 on a service from Euston to Birmingham stopping at Watford, whilst someone who is about to board the train, waits for it to stop.

One of the new 350/2s, 350232 approaches Watford slowly on the up fast due to a TSR in the area. You can tell the /2s apart from the /0s quite obviously with the doors being painted 3/4 black on /2s compared to the all yellow front on /0s.

350119 departs Watford Junction, still complete with Silverlink station sign, on the fast lines, back in 2006 it wasn't that common to see local services stop on the fast platforms, but it seems to be a more regular occurrence now.

The Southern half of the WCML has always been very busy. But now with the new Virgin High Frequency (VHF) timetable, sights like these are very common.

Voyagers weren't a common sight into London on the WCML, granted there was about 2/3 services if that but now there is a considerable amount of Super Voyagers which can be seen going into London Euston due the new Euston - Chester services.

Rapidly approaching the mid of 2009, and we can still see a loco hauled set on the West Coast, this is due to a number of Pendolinos out of action. 82101 heads South into London.

90035 was pushing on the rear of the service.

321435 on a service to Birmingham New Street calls at Watford Junction. Soon most of the 321s will be replaced by 350/2s.

A Pendolino flys past Watford heading towards the North.
