East Hyde - 21/04/10

A 319/2 leads an 8 car set south, the /2s are just starting to get refurbished at Hornsey Depot, soon all the /0s and /2s will be in FCC. The /2s will have their buffet areas removed.
Due to signaling problems at Bedford, trains were being held northbound outside Luton. Here a Meridian waits about 10 minutes or so, soon after passing Harpenden.
Another Meridian set departs a lengthy signal check heading towards Luton.
43058 leads a full East Midlands Trains rake northwards, by this time the signaling problem was causing less issues around Luton.
43081 still in old Midland Mainline livery, only a handful now in this livery.
An 8 car Electrostar set speeds south, Electrostars are common ground on the Midland Mainline during the week, less common on weekends if any.
Two 319s speed southwards, the one trailing in the shot overtakes just after passing us.
43074 also still carrying the old Midland Mainline livery as the set heads north.
43058 with another full East Midlands Trains HST set speeds northwards.
43054 again heading north, the old livery evidently getting grubby!
37510 and 37667 with 6Z90 (Tyne Dock - Sheerness) being held at Bedford for over an hour due to the signaling problems, the light had faded, So a choice was made to make a close shot, to which we found a Meridian approaching... So I had to run up the field to try and get a shot as they were about to pass! Not too bad, better than complete bowlage.
