Cross Country 28th June

Here you will find my photos of my trip to Bristol to get the HST summer specials, but wasn't to be the case.

Videos of the day can be found in the videos tab.

43063 idles away on the rear of the Bristol Temple Meads service at London Paddington.
43071 Gets ready to lead the set for the South West.
A UID HST set departs Reading for London Paddington.
43160 pushes the HST set Eastwards towards London whilst departing Swindon.
158766 in its new livery stops at Bath Spa
43184 at Bristol Temple Meads with its Marstons howling we find that the actual service was terminated here.
43007 sitting in the warm sun, filling Bristol with clag even on idle.
After the trauma at Bristol, we arrive at Sheffield greeted by 43052, though this wasn't our train.
185121 quietly sitting in the sidings as 43052 gets ready to head for London down the Midland Mainline.
221127 heads for the South West at Sheffield, still carrying the Virgin Cross Country livery. Although it has been Stickered with the new logo from Arriva.
43045 seen at Sheffield, which will lead our train down to London. 43049 'Neville Hill' was on the front/rear.
220020 leaves Sheffield whilst the 185 and 43045 sit and wait. This shot shows the different traction which can be seen at Sheffield.
185114 arrives into Sheffield bound for Cleethorpes.
319378 and a UID sit idle at St Pancras International. Most weekends see 319s terminating into St Pancras High Level due to engineering work taking place between the cross London section of Thameslink. Back like the old days then eh?
43049 cooling down from the rather hellfire trip down from Sheffield.
'Neville Hill' Seen here on 43049. As you can see by the red background, this used to be a Virgin Power Car.
Whilst waiting for the Thumper to produce at Clapham, we witness South West Trains 450095 arrive for a service to London Waterloo.
Thumper 1001 approaches Clapham Junction on a GBRf tour special.
47712 on the blocks at London Kings Cross.
As I was walking up to the top to get a shot of the other 47, it departed... so to show that I quickly set up for a long exposure shot.
222014 in its knew EMT livery sat at St Pancras international. Ready to work the 15:00 service to Nottingham the next day.
